The Baseball Park at Walker Field

Built by volunteers with donated materials back in the 1940's, Walker Field was recently featured in Enjoy Magazine for its historical value. The park served as a community hub where local players competed every Sunday throughout the post-war era. Today, Walker Field offers local little league players a big-league experience.

Visit Walker Field to take advantage of public exercise equipment, enjoy a walk, a baseball tournament, or one of our seasonal events, like Summer Movie Night or the annual Fall Festival. Located on Hwy 3 on the north end of town.

Little League Park

Picnic Pavilion Wide Shot

With help from grants and community members, the Little League Park has seen some recent upgrades. The installation of the new Picnic Pavilion has made the park is the perfect place to enjoy a picnic with family and friends. The Paul Garrison Picnic Pavilion was named to honor the Navy Veteran and Police Chief who co-founded the Scott Valley Youth League. Other renovations to the park include dugout upgrades and restroom remodeling. These changes earned the park a feature in Enjoy Magazine. All this has been made possible by funding from the Per Capita Grant made available through the California Drought, Water, Parks, Climate, Coastal Protection, by the Outdoor Access for All Act of 2018, and by the Friends of Paul Garrison.

The Little League Park is home to the Little League organized by Scott Valley Tee Ball. The group plays in matches against other teams here in the Valley, in addition to coaching the Youth Baseball League and the Softball Team for adults, which plays against Yreka. For information or to join, visit the Scott Valley Tee Ball, Farm League, and Youth Baseball website.
