Come Enjoy Our Beautiful Parks!
The Baseball Park at Walker Field
Coming Soon: Fort Jones Central Park
The Town of Fort Jones has secured a grant for the acquisition of a NEW park. Fort Jones is one of just two Siskiyou County municipalities to secure one of the 112 Park Development and Community Revitalization Grant Program awards distributed in 2021. The new park will be located downtown at an undetermined location, and will feature a new gazebo, picnic area, landscaping, and restrooms.
Visit Walker Field to take advantage of public exercise equipment, enjoy a walk, a baseball tournament, or one of our seasonal events, like Summer Movie Nite or the annual Fall Festival. Located on Hwy 3 on the north end of town.
Little League Park
Located on Matthews St. next to Fort Jones Elementary, the Little League Park has seen some recent upgrades. With the installation of the Paul Garrison Picnic Pavilion, the park is the perfect place to enjoy a picnic with family and friends. Further updates to the park will be coming soon, including dugout renovations. These changes have been made possible by funding from the Per Capita Grant made available through the California Drought, Water, Parks, Climate, Coastal Protection, and Outdoor Access for All Act of 2018.
The Little League Park is home to the Little League organized by Scott Valley Tee Ball. The group organizes matches against other teams here in the Valley, in addition to coaching the Youth Baseball League and the Softball Team for adults, which plays against Yreka. For information or to join, visit the Scott Valley Tee Ball, Farm League, and Youth Baseball website.
