The Town of Fort Jones will begin chlorinating the municipal water supply starting May 6, 2025. This is a routine and standard procedure conducted to maintain water quality and ensure the continued safety of the public water system.

During this period, your drinking water will remain safe for consumption. However, you may notice a temporary change in taste or odor due to the presence of chlorine.

We advise residents who care for fish or other sensitive aquatic animals to take appropriate precautions, as chlorine can be harmful to such organisms.
